DESCRIPTIVE DATA

object type: Steel, with a triangular blade with wings, of diamond section with a heavy reinforced point, and a recessed ground at either side of a medial rib at the forte. A steel socket is attached by two flush rivets, and this is plain with a brazed join down one side, a moulded section near the blade and a plain reinforcing ring at the base, decorated with double incised lines. The base of the socket is quite mangled and damaged. The steel is pitted where is has been heavily corroded then polished bright
