The hilt is formed of two broad rectangular section bars joined by a grip formed of two bars with large conjoined central lobed knops, and smaller knops at either side joined to each other with additional central knops. At the front is a deeply curved concave bar attached to the blade by heavy langets terminating in lotus buds, with three rivets.
