object type: The blade of steel is short, straight and double edged, with a medial rib with hollwo gound at either side swelling into a reinforced point. The hilt is formed of two long rectangular section bars forged from the same ingot as the blade, joined by a grip formed of two faceted bars, swelling to central balusters. The hilt is covered in silver foil punched with a fine floral diaper. Almost all the silvering is lost
