The front and back of the caddy are engraved with an oval cartouche; the front containing the crest of Bulteel of Pamflete and Lyneham, Devonshire, the back containing a coat-of-arms of John Bulteel of Pamfleet and Lyneham, impaling Crocker with Perrin in pretence. A key hole is cut in the front above the armorials, with a lock inside.
