Light buff earthenware, moulded, tin-glazed white on the upper surface and painted in blue, green, yellow and manganese. Oval, with baroque frame moulded with scrolls; on the back, an oval depression in the centre. Below a coronet, flanked by banners is a shield, bearing the arms of Ulm zu Erbach, of Wurttemberg and Baden: Quarterly: 1,4, per fesse azure and gules over all a fesse, i, azure a lion rampant gules and ii, checky argent and azure (Marbach); 3, quarterly or and vert (Ellerbach); over all, the Imperial double headed eagle crowned sable, bearing on its breast an escutcheon: gules a fesse argent with the three Roman capitals FMR or, in pale, one above the other over all. Above the arms is the inscription 'Saul Mathias Frey und/Edler Hr: von Ulm uff Er=/=bach und Marbach-/Rath.' in manganese Gothic script.
