The copper alloy hilt is formed of a loop, with a fleur-de-lis shaped langet at either end fastened to the blade with two iron rivets, with a narrow faceted grip with a medial knop, and a broad guard round the outside with raised edges bordered by a series of punched circles within double incised lines.
