  <description>
    <value>The steel blade is double edged and double curved, with a chevron of four fullers running down the blade and a chiselled lotus bud between them on the forte, which is thickened, widens and has slight cusped wings. The hilt comprises a steel guard and knucklebow, and grip and pommel of a single wood plaque at either side. The guard is a narrow oval, with a finial at the top and a knucklebow ending in a recurved globular finial. The grip is bent, and the pommel of lunate form, and riveted to the tang with four rivets. Traces of floral ornament in silver koftgari survive on the guard and forte of the blade</value>
