    <value>Of watered (wootz) steel, comprising a deep gutter-shaped plate rounded to the elbow, and an inner plate attached by two decorative hinges. The edge is bordered in the outside by a series of brass rivets retaining a black leather lining band which retains the lining  of quilted crimson velvet, and at the wrist is the complete hand defence, shaped to the fingers and thumb, covered in crimson velvet studded with copper alloy nails in a scale pattern and lined with crimson velvet, with finger and thumb loops of brown, blue and cream tape. At the lower edge at the wrist of the main plate are two hinged strap loops, and on the inner wrist plate the two decorative buckles. The exterior is bordered with a broad band of floral scrolls in gold koftgari, The condition is rough, dirty and pitted</value>
