  <description>
    <value>Silver-gilt; the wide shallow bowl is embossed and chased with swags, fruit and strapwork containing two masks (one of a man, the other of a woman) and an engraved coat-of-arms on a matted ground. Between the bowl and the stem is a calyx with engraved border of simple geometric swags The ornate urn-shaped stem is cast and has three attached scrolls. The foot is stepped with the flat top forming a multi-petalled base for the stem. The lower spreading circular area is finely chased with three masks, swags and fruit.</value>
