      <note>
        <value>Edition size 25 (restrikes). Zinc plate approx. 2mm thick. Heavy wax coating with glassine and bend in plate. Wax removed to reveal striation in the metal with much metal grain evident. foulbiting around edges, scratches mid left edge and at top in image. The soft bends tend towards pleating of paper hence thickness of plate. Printed edition: Hotplate at 40 degrees. used mostly butter muslin and tissue to wipe. paper dampened for 2 days before edition. run with 2 frontings only to avoid pleating, plate tone diminished very slowly over the running of the edition as the metal polished slightly, drypoint held up very well</value>
