object type: Bowl stand. Stoneware, thrown, luted and celadon-glazed. This unusually large stand is open in the centre, has a wide tray with six indentations suggesting a floral shape and a high flared foot. It is undecorated. The different parts were thrown separately and then luted together.  The body is thin and the glaze evenly applied, of pale bluish-green jade colour and with a subtle gloss.  The glaze has been wiped from the footring, which shows traces of six fire-clay spurs.
