Stoneware, moulded, carved and incised, and celadon-glazed. Both pieces are of ten-petalled flower shape characteristic of the Koryo period, and both were formed by a mould. The cup is decorated with an incised chrysanthemum spray in each lobe both inside and outside as well as in the centre, and with a classic-scroll border at the outer rim. The stand is decorated with an incised chrysanthemum spray in the recessed support, incised fish and waves in the sunken area around it, and further incised chrysanthemum sprays on the broad everted rim. The foot is incised with foliate sprays. The pale bluish-green glaze, somewhat greener on the cup, has a fine dense crackle, and has partly changed colour in the firing.
