It is decorated with a band of gold koftgari floral ornament around the sides and on the top and bottom of the blade, and chiselled with riders hunting with hawk and sword at either side, and a hawk attacking a dove on the back. The haft is formed of a round steel tube, reeded for most of its length between mouldings, and corroded black.
