<value>Silver; the spoon's oval bowl is attached by four loops (a fifth is missing) on its back to a three-pronged fork. The base of the fork's handle is hinged and the folding mechanism held in place by a slide. The handle, which is square in cross-section, has a finial in the form of a standing warrior, which unscrews to reveal a toothpick. The front of the bowl of the spoon is engraved with a thread edge; the back is initalled 'S' The base of the fork has an applied openwork plaque of scrolls and a mask. The handle is engraved on the front with a patten of scrolling foliage, and on the sides with overlaping scales. The slide is in the form of a cherub's mask.
