object type: Gold, enamelled in white, red, and a little blue, and set on the front with seven table- cut red garnets. Cross-shaped with foliate ornaments at the end of each arm, and a loop and ring for suspension at the top. The back of the cross is hinged and opens to reveal a compartment divided into five sections. The surface is partly enamelled white and has a four-petalled red flower head in the centre of the cross.
