    <value>Fruit wood and silver; the wood bowl is fig-shaped (part missing) on a tapering stem.  The back of the bowl is carved with a vignette of Eve offering Adam an apple from a tree with a snake entwined in its branches.  The silver handle is cylindrical and tapers towards the crown-shaped finial formed of four trefoils.  The lower end is pierced with a pattern of trefoils. The handle is engraved with a pattern of scales, over which is applied in a spiral a scroll inscribed : 'Pane. bose. gwilvite. nad. na. wi'.</value>
