object type: Small agate and gilt metal spoon. With an oval bowl of translucent russet, white and grey agate.  It is attached to the almost flat, spatulate handle by a narrow gilt metal or gold ferrule, which is embossed with a border of flowers between two reeded bands. 
The handle has been broken and repaired.
