    <value>Silver-gilt, tortoiseshell and gold; the knife has a silver-gilt blade and a tortoiseshell handle with gold piqu&#xE9; scrolls, foliage and latticework; the fork and spoon are similarly decorated</value>
  </description>
  <description>
    <value>Silver-gilt, tortoiseshell and gold; the knife has a silver-gilt slightly scimitar shaped pointed blade with a flying bolster, and a hollow translucent blond tortoiseshell handle. The handle is oval in section and broadens towards the shaped rounded terminal. The two convex tortoiseshell sides (scales) are pinned to a scale tang and joined by a narrow moulded border of silver-gilt. The surface of the tortoiseshell is inlaid with gold piqu&#xE9; work scrolls, foliage and latticework. The dessert fork has four silver-gilt tines. The dessert spoon has an oval silver-gilt bowl, on the back of which is a chased stylised leaf and rat-tail. The fork and spoon both have flat scales of tortoiseshell pinned to the top and bottom of the handles and joined by a narrow moulded border of silver-gilt. The tortoiseshell scales are decorated with gold piqu&#xE9; work scrolls, foliage and latticework to match the knife.</value>
