  <description>
    <value>Silver, parcel-gilt, enamel and steel; the knife (A) has a steel blade of scimitar shape tapering to a sharp point; the silver handle is a slender fluted spiral enamelled with a narrow band of turquoise; just above the join with the blade are a pair of back-to-back scrolls enamelled in turquoise; the handle terminates in a volute, also enamelled in turquoise; the applied finial is in the form of a head, with white enamelled face and green enamelled leaves in the hair. The fork (B) has steel tines; its handle is similar to that of the knife, but it unscrews, and the terminal depicts a different head, facing right, with green enamelled leaves at the base of the neck. The spoon (C) has a fig-shaped silver bowl, with traces of gilding on the back; it joins the handle with a series of scrolls enamelled turquoise; the handle is similar to those of the knife and fork, but the finial depicts a third head with chaplet of green leaves. The case (D) with hinged lid is shaped like a spoon with a broad handle; it is covered in fishskin and lined with red velvet.</value>
