object type: Iron. With minute gold cloisonné ornament of red, white, black, emerald, and yellow enamels in chequered, parti-coloured and floral forms. Enclosed by three panel reserves outlined in gold and of elongated mokko shape, one on the kashira and two on the fuchi. The slippo decoration is applied in slight relief. The rather shallow fuchi is of "jar neck" form with gold rims round top of Tenjo-kane. Signature: Hirata Kenjo
