object type: Blade. Tsuba, iron, lobed and inlaid Iin sentoku with stylised plant and plain gilt edge. Hilt of blade lacquer with fine horizontal grooves, brass Mekugi pierced with retaining pin. Fuchi and Kashira of shakudo with nanako surface and applied silver millet motif with gilt grain. Menuki with matching millet motif.
The scabbard of black lacquer with impressed crest motif, Kurikata matching Fuchi-Kashira, applied copper bird with black beak and gilt eye. Kodzuka of shibuichi with applied gold and silver millet in copper basket
