object type: Brown iron tsuba with a rounded gata (shape) and a maru (rounded) rim. 
The base has a ishime-ji (stone surface) texture with mid-relief carvings, where the raised areas are worn with a 'silver' tone. The carvings are of multiple 'Tomoe' symbols with a diamond cross section. There are two kozuka hitsu-ana (utility knife openings).
