object type: Bone china, slip-cast, with clear and pale yellow glazes, painted (probably) in royal blue and yellow enamels, and gilded. The bowl is of squat urn-shape with a shallow incurved shoulder, and two loop handles, standing on a low foot. The shallow domed cover has an oval ring handle. The bowl is decorated below the shoulder with geometrical-cum-star motifs in royal blue, yellow, and gold.  The outer edges of the handles and knob are entirely gilded, and there is a narrow gold band round the edge of the foot, and at the junction of the foot and bowl
