<note>
<value>The figures are taken from two plaques first made during the Wedgwood & Bentley period, about 1778 (See Documentation, Reilly, 1989). 'Sacrifice to Bacchus' which includes all but the two figures on the left, although the woman with a ewer has a different head; and p. 592, no. 861, 'An Offering to Flora', for the standing and seated female figures on the left. These early plaques were not sold blue jasper but were grey-blue with a slightly darker blue jasper surface, and had a series of holes on the back behind the figures.</value>
