On the outside there are two approximately oval Chinese figure scenes separated by panels of puce trellis with a reserved oval panel over purple trellis with two circular reserves. The saucer has a circular Chinese figure scene of five ladies outside a pavilion, and a wide border of puce and purple trellis broken by three oblong reserves coloured apricot and red, and three circular reserves containing red stylized plants.
