The nea oval shape teapot has a domed cover with a ventilation hole, and oval knob rising to a point. The sides below the shoulder are decorated with partly hatched and partly solid gold composite leaves, and the shoulder with a continuous wavy spray of flowers and foliage. There are bands of gilding round the foot, the edge of the shoulder and the rim; down the sides of the handle which also has a vertical line down its back; and on the edges of the spout and its lip. The underside of the spout is decorated with vertical lines alternating with lines of dots of graduated size, and on its top there are stylized flowers. The cover (A) is decorated to match and the top of its finial has stripes radiating from the apex. The stand (B)is oval with sloping sides and stands on a footring.
