object type: Bone china, press-moulded, and painted underglaze in blue, overglaze in pale blue, pink and puce, and gilded. Circular with sloping sides, standing on a footring. A central white disk is surrounded by a wide underglaze blue circle edged by gold bands and overlaid by a continuous stem of gold leaves. A similar border runs round the edge. The area between has a circle of gold vine leaves, bunches of grapes, and tendrils with seven three-petalled flowers in pink edged with puce, at regular intervals, all reserved in a pale blue ground. Pattern no. 1459.
