The cup has deep almost straight sides, curving inwards slightly at the footring, and having a loop handle. The circular saucer has deep curved sides and stands on a footring. The cup is decorated on the outside at the top with a border of pairs of two-tone purplish-brown strawberries alternating with a single leaf, on an undulating gold stem with smaller gold leaves branching off it. Below there a horizontal gold band, with a very narrow one below, and there iare further bands round the rim and base.
