  </description>
  <description>
    <value>Red earthenware, thrown, with applied pulled handle and inserted projecting tube to take a spigot, dark brown slip, and brown lead-glaze, stopping about 1.3 cm above the base, and sgraffito decoration. Ovoid, with flat base, short incurved neck, small strap handle which is curved on the exterior and has a vertical ridge, and on the opposite side a short distance above the base, a short cylindircal insertion to take a spigot. Round the lower part of the body there is a series of nine rings under the glaze. The sgraffito decoration comprises three sets of two horizontal rings, on the shoulder, a little way below the handle, and above the tube for the spigot. Between the top two sets there are five spaced stylized leaves, and in the wider space below, two continuous wavy lines.</value>
