Formed of a single plate front and rear, each of which is flanged upwards at the neck-opening. The lower edge of the rear plate descends to a truncated cusp at its centre and has rounded outer corners; while the considerably deeper front plate descends to a rounded, obtuse, central point. The front and rear plates are joined by a modern round-headed rivet at the left shoulder, and fastened by a modern mushroom-shaped stud and keyhole-slot at the right shoulder. The neck-opening of both plates has a plain inward turn. The lower edge of both plates has a plain partial inward turn bordered by a single incised line of which only traces remain. The rear plate is decorated medially by three incised lines of which only traces remain. The main edges of the collar are bordered by large, brass-capped, round-headed rivets with circular internal washers that retain a buff leather lining edged with piccadils of crimson velvet piped with yellow braid.
