    <value>Cast and chiselled gilt-brass hilt (Norman 112) with asymetrical, almost triangular shell-guard. Vase-shaped pommel. The whole decorated with beading. Plain, straight, flat blade, decorated towards the hilt with etched foliage and the maker's name and address. Scabbard of wood, covered in black leather, with brass chape and locket, the latter gilt.</value>
