The circular plate has a shaped edge bordered by five raised motifs comprising two flowerheads flanked by smaller flowers and foliated scrolls linked to each other by beading. The sloping rim is slightly concave and the well has deep curved sides, and stands on a footring. The well is painted with an arrangement of yellow, orange, pink and dark pink roses, buds, and foliage, reserved in a gold ground. The shoulder is encircled by a band of tiny gold beads flanked by reserved bands with gold beading. At regular intervals round the rim there are two motifs comprising a large rose with a bud and foliage and three comprising pairs of roses with a bud and foliage, reserved in a gold ground scattered wth groups of three raised dots (possibly etched). The raised flowers, scrolls and beading on the border are coloured green and gold.
