A 5.25" deep border at each end; at the outer edges a 0.25" deep band of satin stitch, gilt thread and pink silk in alternate lengths of 2.25". Above it four repeats of a motif composed of one leaf lying horizontally with two vertical above it, all filled by leaflets arranged pinnately, and with crude stylised carnations, leaves and leaflets springing from them.
