    <value>Red earthenware, thrown and turned, decorated with mould-applied sprigs (reliefs) under yellowish lead-glaze. The circular bowl has deep curved sides and stands on a high footring. The exterior is decorated with three repeats of the same motif: a falcon holding foliage in its beak, perching on a vertical branch  with a large serrated leaf on each side, and a horizontal leaf or fern frond at its base.</value>
