    <value>earthenware sauceboat press-moulded with cows under a tree on one side and sheep on the other and decorated with underglaze oxides under lead-glaze</value>
  </description>
  <description>
    <value>Dark cream earthenware press-moulded in two halves with integral relief decoration, with an applied moulded handle, and decorated with green, blue, and manganese-brown oxide colours under lead-glaze. The underside of the base is unglazed in the middle. The sauceboat stands on an oval base and has bulging sides and a wide curved lip. The small loop handle has a small sloping leaf at the top which forms the thumbpiece, a long leaf down its back, and a smaller leaf horizontal leaf at the bottom. One side is decorated with three sheep and a lamb in a landscape with a tree behind them, and daisies and grass in the foreground. The other side has three cows and a calf in a landscape with a tree behind them and daisies and grass in the forground. On the left and right of the scenes there are scrolls which form panels below the lip and around the handle. These are filled with vertical wickerwork and roses sprays. The exterior and interior are streaked with the oxide colours which have run downwards.</value>
