MOVEMENTt: Full plate movement engraved 'Hallifax London 10722' and dial 'HALLIFAX LON DON'. Balance bridge, table pierced and engraved with lace edge, feet engraved, straight to edge of plate. Polished steel balance. Small slide plate, pierced and chased with free form edge, silver regulation dial with radial Arabic figures 1 to 6. Pierced fusee iron post. Polished steel case bolt/spring with pierced vertical foot. Potance with moulded end of foot, screwed to plate. Rectangular counter-potance riveted to plate. Pillar plate with four square baluster pillars. Under-dial stamped 'M' or 'W'. Fusee and chain, barrel with one lop, tangent set-up under barrel, date wheel under dial in brass edge. Verge escapement. Train planted anti-clockwise. BRASS EDGE: Gilt brass, three feet, recess under dial for date wheel with blued steel click. Movement side is scratched 'Hallifax' and '722'. DIAL: Gold, champleve, three copper feet. Radial Arabic 5 min. figures in polished cushions, arched ladder min. ring radial Roman chapters, sunk centre with rectangular date aperture above VI (not well cut), plaque under XII and above VI engraved as above, decorations each side of centre. The centre is yellow gold, compared to red outer dial. HANDS: Silver set with diamonds, Louis XV style. INNER CASE: Gold, plain, London hallmark 1777 and maker's mark of large pellet above 'IH' with pellet between. Plain bezel. Round pendent with gilt brass stirrup bow, little gilding present. Pendant of redder gold than case.
