Silver regulation dial engraved 'AVANC' and 'RETAR'. Plate engraved as above and scratched 'Wolf' (?). Turned fusee iron stop. Case bolt, polished steel with conical end, nib under dial. Adjustable potance. Counter potance with adjusting screw, inside contrate wheel arbour. Pillar plate with four pillars, slightly wasted, engraved edge, sunk centre wheel. Third wheel bridge. Under dial, slightly raised edge, stamped '4060' next to hinge block. Scratch marks '7558', 'SN' above '858' all inside a circle, and '50'. Fusee and chain, barrel with one lip, set-up ratchet under dial. Verge escapement. Train planted anti-clockwise. DIAL: White enamel on copper, three feet, counter enamel inscribed '60' (?). Ladder minute circle, dots at 5 mins. and 4 dots at quarters. Vertical Arabic chapters, lettered above 6 o'clock 'Jn. Ls. More / A.GENEVE'. Winding hole 1.30. HANDS: Blued steel, Breguet type. CASE: Gold and enamel, set with pearls, form case. Case in the form of a six string mandolin, fingering fret enamelled black with gold frets, body red translucent enamel over chased square design, green enamel leaves at bottom. Strings end in gold 'C' set with nine pearls. Edge of face with gold strip set with graded pearls. Glazed hole, slightly below centre, with edge of pearls. Body edge enamelled black with gold pattern and eight set pearls. Inside plain gold with maker's mark 'JM' in square cameo, 'A' in square cameo and shaped cameo with dog's (?) head, facing left, and 'A' next to its nose. Back of body hinged to reveal watch dial. Back enamelled in translucent blue over chased square pattern, centre with open music book, pages white enamel, on branch with green enamelled leaves.
