Depicting Cupid crowning a woman whilst Flora (?) annoints her, and another woman washes her feet. Canepin leaf with stipple printed in two colours with painted reserves on fretted bone sticks. Very much in the French style, but probably not French workmanship. The stipple is very unusual and the fretting does not look French. The flowers are similar to those on fans considered by some to be Swedish. title: folding fan NOTES ----- type: history note value: Lennox Boyd Estate.
