object type: Brown stoneware, thrown, and turned, with applied handle, and lustrous salt-glaze. The cylindrical mug has a slightly projecting skirt with a horizontal ridge above it  level with the lower end of the handle, and a turned band level with the upper end of the handle. The ear-shaped handle has a central vertical ridge and a kick at its lower end.
