object type: Memorial folding fan to Frederick, Prince of Wales (1707-1751), the eldest son of King George II and Queen Caroline.  Designed with a cenotaph displaying small medallions of five preceding Princes of Wales.  To the left, the Queen sits at a table holding an image of her son, and to the right the son crowned in heaven.
Paper leaf with hand coloured etching en grisaille, on plain bone sticks and guards.
