  <description>
    <value>A young boy wearing a night-gown, walking to the left, holding a candle holder with lit candle, and blowing on a glowing charcoal. The inscription on the former mount (and in accession register) was 'L'effet de la lumiere factice / [Musee de Bruxelles]'. There is another print in similar dimensions by James Wilson, which is deceptively close. There are a number of differences in details and highlights between even surviving impressions by Purcell (e.g. clouds across the moon, boy's shirt collar, handle of candleholder), indicating that the print was altered in its lifetime. This print is closest to the British Museum impression, 2010,7081.3063</value>
