DESCRIPTIVE DATA
----------------
object type: White lace-paper with central aperture containing a chromolithograph of a man in 18th-century French costume presenting a posy to a lady in the grounds of a chateau. A printed motto: 'My love for thine' is affixed at lower centre and a pair of embossed, silver and gilt die-cut hearts shot through with Cupid's arrows. Opens to hand written inscription: 'Mamma / 1867'. The inscription appears to be written in the same hand as those found in P.14342-R-26 and P.14342-R-7 and which would seem to identify these cards as a group that were sent from a mother to her child in the 1860s.
