object type: Off-white stoneware, slip-cast, with applied handle, and salt-glaze. The jug has a roughly oval base with scalloped edges, slightly depressed bulbous sides, which are lightly fluted, and a short neck with a projecting lip and scalloped rim. The ear-shaped handle is reeded and has a pinched kick at the lower end. The sides are decorated with six integrally cast slanting garlands of flowers and foliage in relief.
