MOVEMENT: Not named. Cruciform-shaped movement holder with pierced sides, circular hole for a movement. The whole is brazed on to the back of the dial. A late 18th century movement has been soft soldered into the movement hole, pillar plate up, and with all the furniture removed. The plates have been crudely engraved with curved lines. DIAL: Cruciform with rounded ends, engraved with instruments of the passion. The central dial has outer 'quarter' ring (49 marks), radial Roman chapter, and an engraved centre. CASE: Rock crystal cruciform with badly cut form. Faces not flat, faces out of line, and the corners are not sharp. Body with solid rectangular projection at pendant. Cover with round recess over dial. Frame gilt metal with castellated sides, spaces circular.
