Brass balance with three wide arms. Slide plate pierced and engraved, free form edge, silver regulator dial with radial Roman figures I to VI. Pierced fusee iron bracket. Rectangular potance and counter-potance riveted to back plate. Case bolt in brass edge, nib through dial. Plain repeating barrel. Pillar plate with four turned pillars, having large ring near pillar plate. Third wheel bar. Fusee and chain, tangent set-up. Verge escapement. Anti-clockwise train. Runners with five pinions, speed governed by depthing pinion. Two repeating hammers. Runners planted anti-clockwise. Repeating mechanism; 1/4 mechanism with pivoted 'all-or-nothing' level, hour snail and star wheel pivoted on plate and in lever. 1/4 snail with surprise piece. Steel work with grained finish. BRASS EDGE: Brass, gilt, chased around dial. Pulse piece. Scratched on under side '8/22/k'. Fixed by two screws through side. CAP: Gilt brass engraved 'Andr Dunlop LONDON'. DIAL: Gold, champleve engraved in centre 'DUNLOP' below 12 o'clock and 'LONDON' above 6. Polished outer 5 minute cushions, ladder minute ring, radial Roman chapters, thin diamond half-hour marks between chapters, 1/2 hour ring. Matted background. On the back is '8/22/19' HANDS: Steel, blued beetle and poker. BELL: Scratched 'Chy 8/22' and 'Lumpkin' on back. INNER CASE: Gilt metal with incuse I pellet W maker's mark, marked twice.
