Made for the Turkish market. MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'Ju Le Roy A Paris n 14815.' Balance bridge pierced and engraved, polished steel coquette. Steel balance, with pin projecting from edge for banking. Silver regulation dial with Turkish markings and 'A' and 'R', with the pointer missing. Plain foot of counter-potance on plate. Turned fusee iron post. Polished steel case bolt with conical end, in slot in plate. Adjustable potance. Counter-potance with polished steel end piece with adjustment screw. Pillar plate with four five sided baluster pillars with turned reverse tapers to top plate. Centre wheel recessed, third wheel bar. Under dial stamped '14185' and scratched '1/3' at hinge. Fusee and chain, set-up click under dial, one lip on barrel. Verge escapement. Train planted anti-clockwise. DIAL: White enamel on copper, convex, three feet, counter enamel lettered 'G.B' in black. Radial Turkish 5 minute figures, ladder minute ring, radial Turkish chapters. Scalloped recessed centre covered in gold with chased flowers with green enamelled leaves and red enamel dots in flowers, two white enamel cartouches with black lettering 'Jn. LE ROY' udner 12 and 'A. PARIS' above 6 o'clock. HANDS: Blued steel hour only, broad cross at end. INNER CASE: Plain, London HM 1776, case maker's mark cameo 'SB', rectangle with chamfered corners and stamped incuse 'J', a winding hole blocked off about 4 o'clock. Pendant HM 1776 letter and lion, cameo maker's mark 'TI' in rectangle. Scratch marks '?' above 'W/W-', all scratched out. OUTER CASE (A): Silver, engraved on bezel and back. Inside body with 'London HM 1776', maker's mark cameo 'SB' in rectangle with corners chamfered, also incuse 'A'. Scratch mark '69119' near pendant. Bezel 'London HM 1776' and lion only. PROTECTIVE CASE (B): Both covers covered with painted horn, imitation of tortoiseshell, fixed by pins.
