Balance cock with table pierced and engraved with symmetrical design, edge cut away to provide banking, mask at neck and lyre at top. Foot engraved. Polished steel end piece and 'end stone'. Flat steel balance. Slide plate under balance with brass slide, with arm projecting to be read against a scale engraved on top plate above signature, scale ends marked 'F' and 'S'. Formed fusee iron post. Polished steel case bolt, in slot in plate. Potance, with moulding at end of foot, screwed to plate. Counter-potance riveted to plate. Pillar plate with four turned pillars. Centre wheel recessed, third and contrate wheel bridge. Under dial scratched 'RPW, 1856' and '990/1'. Fusee and chain, set-up click under dial, barrel with one lip. Verge escapement. Train planted clockwise. DIAL: White enamel on copper, three feet. Dotted minute ring with diamond shapes at quarters, radial Arabic chapters. Winding hole at 1 o'clock with brass pipe. Joint at 9 o'clock.
