Body covered with black shagreen, with ring of pins at edge, as bezel, but series of decorated pins only around pendant, alternative pattern elsewhere (two decorative headed pins around pendant missing, one decorative headed pin missing). Back with large pattern of gold pins (few missing). Square ended hinge. Pendant slot in body, only nick in bezel. Inside, body and bezel covered in red silk.
