object type: Flat wood-fired stoneware dish of rounded rectangular form, on four feet. The upper side is decorated with an incised rectangle with indentations, and is covered with a creamy tan glaze, which show the effects of fly ash. The underside has strong flashing and reveals feldspar grains in the body, together with a clay 'button'.
