  </description>
  <description>
    <value>Soft-paste porcelain, painted underglaze in blue, overglaze in blue, turquoise, green, and red enamels, and gold. The teapot has a globular body with sixteen facets standing on a footring, a short cylindrical neck, a fluted, slightly curved upward-tilting spout, and a handle formed by two intertwined twigs with leaf terminals. There are five holes behind the spout to emit the tea. The domed cover is also faceted and has a ventilation hole, and a knob in the shape of a flower on a stem with two leaves. The underside of its rim and exterior of the flange which fits inside the neck of the pot are unglazed. The saucer has an inverted scalloped rim, deep curved sides, and stands on a footring. The pot is decorated with four vertical panels containing prunus blossom and chrysanthemums, alternating with narrower panels containing a circular red flowerhead reserved in a blue ground overlaid by gilded floral sprays. Below is a narrow blue border with reserved floral sprays. The cover is decorated en suite. Its flower knob is red with a yellow centre. The stand is decorated to match.</value>
